Artist's Description
Shalom was hand written with pointed pen and watercolor on St. Armand paper.
The stacked Hebrew text from Numbers 6:24-26 was written with a pencil then filled in with metallic watercolors and a brush. The brightest words are gold leaf.
This is a beautiful image for a wedding. The design suggests a house with the blessing around and within the home.
About Judy Dodds
My fascination with the power of ‘thoughts made visible’ and the mystery of the word as a vehicle of communication has led me on a wonderful journey as I merge message and technique with watercolor, brush and pen into a finished piece. Each piece brings exploration, inspiration and discovery — on a concrete level as I work with my tools and experience; on a spiritual level as a passionate heart treasures God. My response to life’s journey is to work with words, be inspired by great texts, express the abstract more tangibly and ... listen ... for God's still, small, gentle voice within the cacophony of the ups and downs, joys and sorrows experienced. In this relationship God comes transforming, with hope-full and wonderful surprises!
