In chaotic, restless, uncertain, dark, discouraging, challenging times believe, trust and remind yourself that nothing can separate us from the Love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The strong vertical line pulls out the theme I chose to emphasize - ‘nothing can separate us’. It forms a bridge connecting ‘for I am sure’ with ‘the love of God.’
One could also interpret it as the vertical of the cross. Christ, demonstrated his great love for us, gave himself over to the cross for us, to secure this connection to God... for us.
My fascination with the power of ‘thoughts made visible’ and the mystery of the word as a vehicle of communication has led me on a wonderful journey as I merge message and technique with watercolor, brush and pen into a finished piece. Each piece brings exploration, inspiration and discovery — on a concrete level as I work with my tools and experience; on a spiritual level as a passionate heart treasures God. My response to life’s journey is to work with words, be inspired by great texts, express the abstract more tangibly and ... listen ... for God's still, small, gentle voice within the cacophony of the ups and downs, joys and sorrows experienced. In this relationship God comes transforming, with hope-full and wonderful surprises!
