Text: Jeremiah 29: 11-13
Jeremiah's words, expressing God's desire for restoration of the relationship between himself and his people, have become instructive, comforting and inspiring to believers over the generations.
Jeremiah, one of Israel’s greatest prophets, spoke of God’s judgment as well as concern for the repentance and righteousness of God’s people. He prophesied through the difficult years Jerusalem and the Kingdom of Judah had fallen into a long captivity under the Babylonians. Jeremiah 29 is his letter to the first group of Babylonian captives.
