The original Bread image was hand lettered and painted with watercolor on Arches cold press paper.

I learned the love of making and sharing loaves of bread from my mother.
So many hands are involved in the making of bread, beginning with the sowing and nourishing of the seed and soil.
It is a symbol of hospitality, fellowship, sharing, patience.

We speak of the breaking of bread with family and friends and share meals with them. Christ’s Word is bread for us - we study, learn, are hungry for and "eat up" his words. Communion bread remembers Jesus’ body broken for us.

May you be blessed by bread, spiritually and physically.

My fascination with the power of ‘thoughts made visible’ and the mystery of the word as a vehicle of communication has led me on a wonderful journey as I merge message and technique with watercolor, brush and pen into a finished piece. Each piece brings exploration, inspiration and discovery — on a concrete level as I work with my tools and experience; on a spiritual level as a passionate heart treasures God. My response to life’s journey is to work with words, be inspired by great texts, express the abstract more tangibly and ... listen ... for God's still, small, gentle voice within the cacophony of the ups and downs, joys and sorrows experienced. In this relationship God comes transforming, with hope-full and wonderful surprises!
